Whilst we make every effort to ensure that all students have a happy, safe environment in which to learn, certain expectations need to be clear.
Bad behaviour in class is unacceptable and disruptive to other pupils.
If such behaviour persists, after notice is given in writing to parent/guardian,
the pupil will be removed from the school. By enrolling at the school, you are agreeing to these terms.
No jewellery (watches, rings, bracelets) should be worn in class.
RAD uniform must be worn in class (list attached). Hair should be in a neat bun.
Mobile phones must be switched off and handed to the teacher at beginning of class, and will be returned at end of lesson.
Students are expected to attend regularly, but in the case of unavoidable absence, no refunds of fees will be given, but the pupil is welcome to join in another suitable class to make up. Please note that fees paid cannot be transferred onto another term/block of classes.
Young children must be collected no later than 10minutes after end of class.
Every child will be encouraged to achieve the highest level of his/her ability.
However, it will be the Principal’s decision as to whether or not a pupil has reached the level required for submission to the Royal Academy of Dance examinations.
Parents are not allowed to observe classes as this can be disruptive, but ample opportunity will be given to parents to attend “watching day classes”.
Fees must be paid at the beginning of each term. Pupils whose fees remain outstanding at this time will not be able to participate in class.
Students at the Natalie Marks School of Ballet will be able to be entered into the Royal Academy of Dance examinations. These examinations have full accreditation from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), and provide an excellent structure which students can work towards in order to achieve the highest standards of training.
Examinations take place 3 times a year, and when the student is ready and prepared.
The Natalie Marks School of Ballet is committed to the wellbeing, safety and welfare of all pupils attending classes. It is the duty of the school principal and staff to prevent abuse and harm happening to children and young people. The principal and staff work regularly with the Royal Academy of Dance on Child protection and undertake training routinely.
